Tonight at 6 the Hoops team will host the 20/22nd Texas A&M Aggies. This will be a challenging game for both teams, who are undefeated in the SEC.
Players to watch:
#1 Courtney William is a freshman forward from Houston. While in high school she was ranked the 9th overall player and was a McDonald’s All-American in 2012. She also played for the Houston Elite, a club team, with current teammates Bone, Gilbert and Mitchell.
#3 Kelsey Bone is a junior center also from Houston. She transferred to A&M from University of South Carolina after her freshman year. While at A&M she has been selected for the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year award and the Big 12 All-Tournament Team. In high school she scored 2,516 points – wow. Fun fact: She is this week’s SEC Player of the Week.
#5 Kristi “KB” Bellock is a senior forward from St. Rosa, LA. She played in 28 games last year averaging 0.9 points. Bellock started in one game last season against McNeese State and had five rebounds.
#32 Adrienne “A-Game” Pratcher is a junior guard from Memphis. Last season she played in 34 games and started in 13. She was also ranked 4th in the Big 12. Fun fact(s): She chose A&M over Kentucky and Louisville and graduated high school with a 4.6 – how does that happen?
#33 Courtney Walker is a freshman guard from Edmond, OK. In high school she set a school record for the most points in a game – 41. She was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee. Walker led her team to an undefeated season her senior year, just like UK freshman Janee Thompson did.
The game will be aired on FSN or you can head down to Memorial to enjoy the game in person.
