Of course we all miss Teague, but pay attention to the number on his jersey for now.
Welcome Kentucky, back to the top 25. Reunited and it feels so good. The Cats just snuck into the polls but it sure is nice to see “Kentucky” back in the AP Top 25. After a long and drawn out process of finding their way back into the top 25 which I don’t need to elaborate on, Kentucky has finally just barely squeaked into the Top 25. Seth Davis had UK in his top 20 in his weekly twitter poll but I guess the AP still think the Cats have some proving to do. It obviously starts tonight against Florida with what is undoubtedly primed to be the biggest game of the Cats season to date. Even with a loss this past week Indiana held claim to its number 1 ranking after a very impressive showing against Ohio State while the Miami Hurricanes have risen to number 3. Gonzaga even got 2 first place votes folks. The Gonzaga freakin’ Bulldogs got 2 first place votes!? 7 loss Wisconsin deservedly found its way into the top 25 at number 20 as they hold claim to the “most losses out of the teams in the top 25″ prize. Here are the polls:
AP Week 15

| 4 | Michigan | 21-3 | 1,428 |
| 5 | Gonzaga (2) | 23-2 | 1,371 |
| 6 | Syracuse | 20-3 | 1,293 |
| 7 | Florida | 19-3 | 1,286 |
| 8 | Michigan State | 20-4 | 1,178 |
| 9 | Arizona | 20-3 | 1,062 |
| 10 | Kansas State | 19-4 | 1,012 |
| 11 | Butler | 20-4 | 943 |
| 12 | Louisville | 19-5 | 842 |
| 13 | Ohio State | 17-6 | 828 |
| 14 | Kansas | 19-4 | 823 |
| 15 | Georgetown | 17-4 | 679 |
| 16 | Pittsburgh | 20-5 | 591 |
| 17 | Oklahoma State | 17-5 | 587 |
| 18 | Marquette | 17-5 | 493 |
| 19 | New Mexico | 20-4 | 433 |
| 20 | Wisconsin | 17-7 | 305 |
| 21 | Notre Dame | 19-5 | 264 |
| 22 | Memphis | 20-3 | 193 |
| 23 | Oregon | 19-5 | 137 |
| 24 | Colorado State | 19-4 | 125 |
| 25 | Kentucky | 17-6 | 87 |
1) Big 10 – 5 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 9.2
2) Big East – 6 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 14.67
3) ACC – 2 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 2.5
4) PAC 12 – 2 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 16
5) SEC – 2 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 16
6) Big 12 – 2 teams ranked – Average Ranking of 15.5
I had to use some discretionary judgement on those last few slots and I decided to put the SEC ahead of the Big 12 because of the fact that Missouri really is a top 25 team who should come around fairly soon. I know it’s hard to believe but the SEC has a little more depth that the Big 12. The PAC 12 has Arizona and Oregon up front which seems to match the duo of Florida and Kentucky but the middle pack of the PAC 12 is a little more impressive than the SEC’s. Oh and hello Colorado State and Memphis to the top 25. Wondering what’s happened to the early season upstart Wyoming Cowboys? Look no further than a 2-7 conference record. Oh College Basketball, how wacky you are.
My prediction for tonight’s monumental game for which I already have butterflies in my stomach:
I have much faith in Kentucky but the Gators are freakin’ good. With that said Beat Florida and Go Cats.

It’s really nice to have those links to the team pages. You can quickly see statistics and which teams they’ve beaten and have beaten them. UK has played only three ranked teams; losing to two. We’ll see how those numbers change tonight.
