On Monday night, I, along with most of Lexington, was lucky enough to be part of a group of thousands of people partying in the streets and celebrating UK’s eighth national championship. You know who wasn’t as lucky? The police who had to put up with us all night. Trying to maintain some semblance of order amidst fires, flipped cars, broken glass, and drunks everywhere is an order taller than Anthony Davis- something I can’t even imagine.

Fortunately, with the help of the Lexington Police Scanner, we’re all able to relive Monday’s events from the perspective of the Lexington Police Department. Deadspin recorded, cut and edited clips of the night’s best sound bites, and #LexingtonPoliceScanner was a number one trend on Twitter for awhile on Monday night.
