The weekend before last, 2013 3-star Athlete Myles Nash took an unofficial visit to Lexington, and like what he saw. Nash plays quarterback, linebacker, and defensive end for his New Jersey Timber Creek High School. He’s a big guy at 6.5 205 lbs. and does a little bit of everything for his team, but if he joins the Cats he’d be primarily used in the pass rush.
Nash did not get the chance to hang around for the Blue/White game, but he did get to meet with Defensive Line Coach David Turner and Coach Rick Minter and watch film. While meeting the coaches is kind of cool, I’d rather meet Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, like Nash got to do. Both are New Jersey natives, a place that isn’t much like Lexington, Kentucky, but MKG reassured him that this is an awesome place.
“He was telling me the lifestyle down there and that he made a great decision (by going there), He said he loves it. It was pretty cool.”
It’s crazy how basketball players help recruit footballers. But MKG wasn’t the only thing that stuck out in his visit about Kentucky. Nash loved the aura that is LexVegas. I mean it does have to be a million times better than Jersey, hell that’s where Snookie’s from, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“It was awesome; I fell in love with the campus and lifestyle. (The campus) was in the town. There was a lot to do, and there was always people around. The lifestyle down there was amazing.”
Nash is hoping to decide by June, but said he will wait until he is 100% on his choice. Other schools in the running are Boston College, Clemson, West Virginia, UVA, Rutgers, and Purdue.
You can call me Mr. Football @RoushKSR, even though my family has 2 KY Mr. Footballs, and I’m not one of them.
