The Softball Cats have taken game 1 from the LSU Tigers in a thriller. It took 8 innings but a Ashleigh Gustasfon benefited from an LSU error to score from second and give the Cats game 1. The 4-3 upset over #22 LSU gets the Cats back to .500 both in Overall record and Conference play.

Pitching: Chanda Bell picks up the win with a 10 strikeout complete game performance. Bell moves to 15-10 with the win. Bell allowed 4 LSU hits.

Batting: Kentucky managed 4 hits in this one with Brittany Cervantes leading the way with a 2-for-4 performance, including a homer and double.
