This has been a huge week for Kentucky basketball. First they went to the White House, then they went to the Derby, and yesterday two of them graduated from college. Congratulations to Darius Miller and Eloy Vargas. We are all very proud of you.
Kentucky ranks 9th of 12 in graduation ratings in the SEC, but coach Cal is hoping this will start to change. He is focusing on getting guys who are serious about both basketball and school. It’s hard to turn down an ungodly amount of money to stay in college and finish your degree, but an education is something that will never be taken away from you. I encourage every Wildcat to set their eyes on a National title AND a diploma, just like Eloy and Darius. I hope becoming a UK alumni is a trend we will start to see among Cal’s future stars.

Congrats to these young men. I wish the picture had been posed in a better setting which would have shown the seriousness and magnitude of their accomplishments.

Glad to see these two get their degree. Seeing kids here four years is going to become more and more rare
