This cartoon which was released yesterday in the Lexington Herald Leader has UK fans mad and canceling their subscriptions. No UK fan or Calipari fan is happy with this cartoon. It diminishes what UK and Calipari have done this season and was not a smart move when we are just coming off of our national championship high. The creator of this would be Joel Pett, who is from and graduated from Indiana which puts an even more bias and negative look on it. I am just as upset with this cartoon as the rest of BBN, but there is a different side to this cartoon that people need to see. Joel Pett will be coming on Kentucky Sports Radio Radio show this morning to debate the cartoon with Matt at 11:15. While publishing this cartoon wasn’t the best business decision when it offends the majority of the newspaper’s audience, as a journalist who has been at the paper 27 years Pett had every right to have it ran in the paper. I’m curious to hear what his argument is, it’s going to be something you’re not going to want to miss.
