As social media becomes so widespread and simple that all generations can use it, many users take to the Twitter and Facebook to wish the special people in their lives a happy [insert holiday, birthday, or anniversary here]. Mother’s Day, especially, is a prime time for every single person on the Internet to boast in 140 characters or less about how awesome, saintlike, smart, savvy, beautiful, etc. their mothers are. Let’s take a look at how some of our favorite UK athletes honored their mothers on the Internet. I can only hope they weren’t too cheap to buy the moms flowers and gifts as well.
Incoming basketball recruit Archie Goodwin tweeted a picture of him and his mother after he announced he was signing with UK. Great choice, Archie.
Our favorite graduating Domican Eloy Vargas four-upped Archie by creating a photo collage of him and his mom at various special occasions. She doesn’t look so happy in that last picture. LOL, Eloy!
As usual, Not Jerry Tipton for the win.
Hey, Fake Barney’s just saying what we’re all thinking.
Naturally Michael-Kidd Gilchrist would come through with the most heartfelt Tweet of all.
And finally, definitive proof that my mom is cooler and more tech-savvy than I am. Thanks for trying to upgrade me, Mom.
I said I’d never get Twitter, and I did. But I will REALLY never get Instagram. @KristenGeilKSR
