I love summer, but I always get bored when basketball or football isn’t going on. Everyone does. I was thinking the other day and I asked my self, what should I do during the summer to entertain my self? Well, heres what I came up with.

1.) Go to Two Keys! Now that the NBA is dying down there are a ton of past basketball stars who frequent there. Plus on Tuesdays they have gold fish racing and it’s awesome.

2.) Check out the news for football. Be sure to stay aware of the happenings of the football team. I know a bunch of people only see football season as tail gating season, but there is a lot going on within the program this summer. For example, the recent promotion of  Tommy Cook. 

3.) Go to a baseball game! The Cats have been killing it this season. Which put me in a mood to check out The Lexington Legends. They have a ton of themes for their games and it’s a lot of fun. If you’re not in Lexington check around your area to see if there is any kind of minor or major league baseball teams to check out. Another thing you could do is join a rec league team. It’s a great way to stay healthy and meet some new people.

4.) Check out the men’s tennis team. Recently, Eric Quigley became the third player in Kentucky’s history to make it to the NCAA Singles Championship Final Four. Winning runs in the water on campus, I swear. 

5.) Go out on a Thursday night. A ton of places have Thursday Thursday/College Night. If you’re like me and you’re ballin on a budget those are the perfect nights to let loose a little bit. Check around your area to see which bars have specials going on or see if they have 18 and up nights. If your in Lexington, you’ll probably see some familiar faces on those nights.
