University of Kentucky sophomore thrower Andrew Evans has just placed 7th in the NCAA National Championships! You heard me right. Andrew Evans, just a sophomore, is now the 7th best Collegiate thrower in the Nation. For Division 1… Evans’ throw of 193 feet 3 inches, or 58.91 meters is his career best throw. This throw bettered his previous career best by 4.5 feet. What a way to go out on what was a stellar season from the Michigan native. Andrew’s throw was the 6th best in UK program history. Evans, the SEC discus champion is only adding to a tradition of dominant discus throwers to attend UK. Evans was seeded 16th in the event. Talk about rising to the occasion. 

Raymond Dykstra and Luis Orta are both slated to compete tomorrow in their respective events: The Javelin and Steeplechase. Until tomorrow Des Moines.
