In not very surprising news, Rakeem Buckles is transferring from Louisville to go play for Rick Pitino’s son Richard over at FIU. At least he’s somewhat staying in the family? Pitino had this to say about Buckles:

“Rakeem is one of my favorites during my tenure at Louisville. He’s just a fantastic young man who we wish great success at FIU. We will miss his personality and work ethic, but he is in good hands with Richard.”

What he really meant is that he was one of his favorites, until he got hurt, and he may have missed his personality and work ethic if they didn’t have fresh meat filling the void.
