According to Adrian Wojnarowski’s twitter feed, all the talk of Anthony Davis’ Olympic hopes being dashed may have been a bit premature.
In a series of tweets, Yahoo!’s Wojnarowski quotes “sources” who claim that “the injury isn’t as bad as originally thought. (Davis) really wants to play.” Wojo also says that the official withdrawal of Lamar Odom from consideration has increased Team USA’s willingness to wait for AD to return to full health.
As a result, Davis will attend the Team USA training camp next week in Vegas, despite prior reports to the contrary.
Great news all around, as it sounds like the door has been reopened for the Brow to play in London. Unfortunately, this would all but end our #BoogieforAmerica dreams, but it is hard to complain about AD reclaiming the roster spot that was originally his to lose.
More to come on this, I’m sure.
